The 2016 season began with a trip to Du Bois to play the squad that the Bison have
played more times over the years than any other. The Bison have met the Beavers
111 times* over the years though this was the first time since 2009.
The score ended up 30-20 Beavers with our boys trailing by only two at the half
and briefly holding a four-point advantage early in the second half.
Then things turned around for Clearfield, winning the next nine regular season games and a playoff
game vs. Bellefonte before losing 26-21 to Johnstown in the d5-6-8-9 Regional Final, finishing at 10-2.
* ( Those 111 games include those played with DuBois as well as Reynoldsville &
Sykesville which are now part of the DuBois Area School District )
