The game score in perspective.
With Strong Vincent's 34-14 victory over the Bisons , the Colonels continued their then
undefeated season.
(Update: Strong Vincent ended their season with a loss to Thomas Jefferson, 35-21on 11/28/08)
In their 13 wins, 5 of them were shut-outs (one, a walloping of Bradford by 62-0) , while
this was only the fourth time this year that 14 or more points were scored against them.
And, in terms of the point spread this was the "closest" game they have played this year,
with the next closest being 21 points over General McLane (41-20, August 30) and
Meadville (35-14, November 7).  Saturday's 34 points was also the second lowest number
of their season, having scored 28 the previous week in a shut-out against cross-town rival Cathedral Prep  ( Stats from Western PA football ) .

From the Erie Times-News article:
" . . .  the teams were tied at halftime.   That marked the first time Vincent had been tied at the break and only the fourth time a ( opposing ) team had scored in double figures all season. "

" Definitely, no doubt about it," (Strong Vincent) coach Tom Cacchione said of the win. "When you play playoff football, teams are going to give you everything they've got. Clearfield made us play all four quarters. "

Great Season, Guys !
